Schmidt House Olympia, Washington

Photo of Schmidt House

Tumwater’s elegant Schmidt House was built in 1904 for Olympia Brewing Company founder Leopold Schmidt and his wife Johanna. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The picturesque grounds are graced with native gardens, rose garden, reflecting pool and graceful statues brought back from Europe by Leopold Schmidt. As an event and wedding venue, the Schmidt House offers a gracious home-like ambiance. Events may be held indoors and/or outdoors. Covered porches and a paved courtyard offer additional sites for ceremonies and receptions.

Spacious dressing rooms are provided for the bride and groom. You may use the caterer of your choice, or provide your own food. Over 100 parking spaces are available.
