Colonial Terrace Cortlandt Manor, New York
Nestled in the scenic rolling hills of Northern Westchester County is Colonial Terrace, an exquisite mid-nineteenth century estate dedicated solely to the art of fine social catering.
Historical research traces the origins of Colonial Terrace to the post Civil War Era, although the region itself occupies a significant place in earlier colonial development. The mansion was built in 1850 by members of the Simpson Family whose heirs are still involved in business in New York City.
In 1945, Oscar and Lillian Levitz purchased the property and transformed the lush grounds and elegant home into a country inn. Guests from the tri-state area were offered fine food, lodging and entertainment. With time, social catering evolved as the exclusive specialty of The Mansion on the Hill. Now serving a third generation in many families, Colonial Terrace continues to impress even the most discerning guests with its grand architecture, formal gardens, interesting decor, and gracious hospitality.
The family and staff of Colonial Terrace are always present and pleased to assist customers with careful attention to every detail, assuring perfect orchestration from ceremony to celebration. Whatever size, theme, or entertaining style, a Colonial Terrace reception will become the memory of a lifetime.
