In 1945, Oscar and Lillian Levitz purchased the property and transformed the lush grounds and elegant home into a country inn. Guests from the tri-state area were offered fine food, lodging and entertainment. With time, social catering evolved as the exclusive specialty of <i>The Mansion on the Hill</i>.
